Exhibition poster for the art exhibition “INTERCONNECT: Connecting Pieces for a Sustainable Style.” The exhibition took place at BACC, Bangkok, Thailand between May - June 2024.
About the Exhibition
The main focus of the exhibition is modular fashion design, emphasizing the concept of wearing clothing in interchangeable pieces. For instance, a sleeveless top can be transformed into various other tops by attaching different sleeves or collars using fasteners such as buttons, zippers, strings, and more. Modular fashion design advocates for sustainability by offering mix-and-match options, enabling individuals to express their creativity and reducing the need to purchase new fashion pieces frequently, thereby minimizing waste.Design Approach
A collage-style artwork is crafted to emphasize the modular fashion concept.
With a mixed-media approach, a variety of resources are used such as vintage pieces, physical magazine cutouts, and ads from Internet fashion magazine archives. Cutouts of nature elements are also added to emphasize sustainability.
